What is an MUI?
Major Unusual Incident: The reporting system mandated by Ohio law that sets procedures to review and report allegation of abuse, neglect and other potentially serious incidents that occur in the Developmental Disabilities System.
Reporting Emergencies or MUIs
All potential MUIs, (Major Unusual Incidents), including but not limited to indicents of possible abuse, misappropriation or neglect of any individual must be reported to the Columbiana County Board of Developmental Disabilities by calling the Service and Support Administration or MUI Support Specialist during business hours (M-F from 8AM-4PM) or by calling the 24-hour Help Hotline outside of regular business hours.
