The Reach 4 More program invites the public to have a free morning cup of coffee from 9-11 a.m. Friday at the Generations Cafe, 31 S. Main St., Columbiana, in observance of National Disability Employment Awareness Month. The mug and the regular or decaf coffee in it will be free of charge. More business engagement specialists will be on hand to meet people and discuss advantages of hiring the disabled. Reach 4 More is a jobs program of the county Board of Developmental Disabilities. Generations Cafe owners Lisa and Rob Schwartz believe the awareness event fits well with the shop’s welcoming philosophy. “You come in here and see all different kinds of people, all ages, and all walks of life,” Lisa said. Generations Coffee House was the original dream of Christian Schwartz and his wife Allison, but they moved away after four years. Lisa and Rob, who assisted their son and daughter-in-law in the coffee shop’s creation, now operate it. They added breakfast and lunch menus, along with organic and healthy eating items.
